PowerWEB TextBox for ASP.NET

Introduction

PowerWEB TextBox for ASP.NET enables Web developers to replace the standard TextArea of their web application with support for HTML content and traditional word processing capabilities without relying on any client-side components or controls.

For developers creating ASP.NET content-management applications, Web mail products, Web Forums, or just want their users to have word processor-like control and HTML content, the PowerWEB TextBox for ASP.NET allows instant replacement for the standard TextBox control used in most Web applications. Just like a standard word processor or HTML editor, the developer has control over the look and feel of all the items on the screen, and has the ability to create custom buttons, toolbar items, and Windows-like dialogs that encapsulate customized code. All data is visible in either WYSIWYG form or as HTML tags. For the end-user, all standard HTML capability is available, including Table editing, image manipulation, color pickers, and text formatting.

Designed for both beginners and advanced users, the TextBox control supports zero-code customization, as virtually every aspect of the product can be customized using built-in editors that leverage the capabilities of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. For advanced users, the rich object model allows complete customization in Code Behind or through direct tag manipulation in the ASPX file. All objects in the control can be manipulated to meet the developer’s business requirements, including customization of the Toolbars, Dialogs, Progress Bar, Tab Strip, text and for greater efficiency; the control supports skins and configuration persistence. The lower-level base classes can be customized to create unique dialogs and buttons. Microsoft Help 2.0 integration with comprehensive F1 support is included to get developers up-and-running in the shortest possible time, plus dozens of tutorials and samples.
